After he survived his tour at New Rochelle, Josh swore off rowing forever. This held up for all of a week before he started coming to UCMC Practice and hasn’t looked back since. When he’s not doing more steady state, you can see him begging Logan to return Joshua to his natural habitat, sculling. Outside of Rowing, Joshua is a sophomore Poli Sci major with a concentration in campaign management.

Nicolette is a nursing major with five years of rowing experience—three spent rowing and two commanding the boat as a coxswain (basically, the team’s GPS with attitude). She liked yelling at rowers so much that she continued on the UCMC team for her second year. In the summer, she splits her time between lifeguarding and taking naps—skills she keeps strictly separate for everyone’s safety.

Cameron is a true novice with no prior rowing experience when joining the team. He swam competitively for 10 years and enjoyed open-water races most of all. He realized one day that he would be much faster if, instead of swimming in the lakes, he rowed on them. Despite this, Cameron is still unsure of why he chose to row and tries to catch as many ejector crabs as he can just so he can swim again.
