Huskies Travel to Cooper River for Knecht Cup

On April 13-14, teams from all over the country converged on Cherry Hill, NJ for the 2019 Knecht Cup. This highly anticipated race showed the Huskies fierce competition and a packed two days of racing.

The First Varsity Eight recorded a time of 6:09.75 in Heats and advanced to the semi-finals. From here they proceeded to the petite finals and placed 5th in a race consisting of Temple, Ithaca, Army, UNC, and Delaware.

The Second Varsity Eight faced tough opposition from Delaware and Trinity, ultimately not qualifying for finals. The Third Varsity Eight, competing within the Club Eight category, placed 4th in their heat

The Novice Four A and B boats recorded strong finishes in their Heats, advancing to the semi-finals. The A boat ultimately took 6th place in the Grand Final, while the B placed 3rd in the Petite final.

The Lightweight Four took home a 2nd place medal, falling to only MIT.

The Huskies look forward to hosting the Patriot’s Cup on April 20th, at Coventry Lake.
