UConn Men's Crew Spends Weekend at Knecht Cup

This week the team traveled to New Jersey for the Knecht Cup. Luckily the weather held out with Summer like temperatures for a successful day of racing on Saturday, and all boats qualified for finals.

On Sunday the first race of the day was the Men’s Novice 4+ who placed 4th in the petite final with a time of 8:11.99. The next event of the day was the Mens Club 4+ who placed 6th with a time of 7:55.96. After that was the Men’s Novice 8+ who placed 4th with a time of 6:48.16. Finishing off the weekend, in the afternoon was the Mens Club 8+ who placed 4th with a time of 6:30.02.

This Saturday the team looks forward to racing on our home course for the Patriot Cup where we will face off against URI, UVM, and UNH. Special thanks to the Poznanskis for supplying us with bagels and pizza!
